Christine is currently working on the Magic of Flowers branch class on the Kitchen Witch forum.
She has made some lovely bath salts as part of one of the lessons and has kindly agreed to share her work and the recipe.
"I chose rose for this assignment because it is my most cherished and beloved flower. Roses hold deep personal meaning for me—so much so that I have several rose tattoos, including a Tudor rose and a piece with wild roses. In fact, all but one of my tattoos are flowers, symbolizing my lifelong connection with nature’s beauty. I also carry peonies, gardenias, forget-me-nots, and lily of the valley with me in ink, each representing something special.
For the craft portion, I created rose bath salts using dried petals that were lovingly gifted to me by a client from her wild weed and flower garden. I was moved by the gift and made enough bath salts to return the gesture by giving her a jar of the finished creation.
Ingredients:
1 cup of dried rose petals
3 cups of Epsom salts
8 drops rose essential oil
8 drops bergamot essential oil
8 drops frankincense essential oil
The result is not only a soothing bath blend but something I believe could also be used in ritual work or a special spell. The combination of rose for love and heart healing, salt for purification, bergamot for joy and clarity, and frankincense for spiritual elevation creates a potent and sacred energy.
This project helped me reconnect with both the natural world and the healing power of intention, beauty, and giving.
