This is a concise book, brimming with information in an accessible format, describing for the reader how to safely engage with The Other Crowd. Divided in to three parts, the first provides succinct outlines of Fairies, the authors understanding of Fairy Faith and Fairy magic, together with information about familiars, how to work in partnership with them, and ending with a guided meditation to meet a fairy partner to be a guide to the practice of fairy-based herbalism.
Part two discusses what plants are linked to fairy, also resins and trees, their lore and how they can be utilised in this practice. Included in this section is a chapter on how water from various places can be incorporated into fairy magic. Then in part three the reader is given practical guidance on harvesting, as well as charms for protection, abundance, love, cleansing people, spaces, and objects; especially useful there is guidance about warding against more mischievous fairy beings, whilst fostering communication with those who wish to work in partnership.
The author provides the reader with endnotes to give more background, as well as appendices covering fairy gardens, honouring fairies which is adapted from an old Romanian ritual taught to the author by her grandmother, a comprehensive recommended reading list, and a bibliography, enabling the reader to delve into their own research on this fascinating subject.
