Irisanya Moon has brought The Muses alive in this fascinating and expressively written book.

Written in an approachable style, the author supplies the historical information on each of the Muses, explaining who they are, their myths and stories, how they were worshiped, as well as which one to call on depending on the creative impulse you are following.

What is so refreshing is that the author provides the reader with the information, with suggestions not directions, with exercises placed throughout the book to help the reader fully engage with the subject. 

The chapter on Modern Day Muses is particularly inspirational.  Here we are given the authors' modern associations for each Muse, which encourages the reader to discover their own current equivalent for each aspect the Muses encompass.

This book will be useful to those new to this subject and to re-energise the practice of those who already work with the energy of The Muses.
