Book Review by Heather Dewhurst

Martha Gray has provided the reader with an extensive resource of not just the Nine Herb Charm, but also an exploration of the meaning and uses for each of the herbs.
Given a chapter each to themselves, the author examines each herbs history covering mundane, magical and medicinal analyses. Every chapter is brimming with information on how to grow the herb, how it may be used magically and practically, for example in recipes.
The medicinal applications are described, with reference to historical herbals as well as current practice.
Martha Gray also demonstrates to the
reader her methodology of how each herb corresponds to Zodiac signs, as well as to deity.
This book is a useful starting place for any who wish to undertake their own exploration of this powerful Charm, to introduce its wisdom into their lives.
