You will need:
Green candle - Green stimulates rejuvenation, growth and renewal
Photo of yourself
Pen
White candle
Offering of incense (your choice)
What to do?
Light your green candle and allow it to burn for a while.
Close your eyes and meditate on the meaning of Yule to you.
Open your eyes, gazing into the flame again write down the parts of yourself you want to release on to the back of the photo - regrets, old feelings, old thought patterns, habits.
Burn your photo, now considering the intent of renewal, imagine those parts you want to release burning up in the flame and being replaced with renewed thoughts, feelings, optimism and dreams.
Light your white candle and your incense offering to the Gods/Universe (whatever suits you) say a little prayer of thanks and gratitude as you turn toward renewal.
If you are able, let the candles burn down completely. If not, when you are ready snuff them out and dispose of the stubs.
