Hey Guys, It’s Gypsy!
I was lucky enough to be able to take part in a fire walk this month! To celebrate competing my High Priestess and also as an early 40th birthday present to myself. It cost £50 per place, my hubby joined me on the walk - The company is called Sacred-Sound based in England.
On the day I was grateful for great weather as the fire walk had already been cancelled twice due to bad weather and a break in at the site.
We arrived at 6:30 on June 19th to the arranged woodland to be greeted by the organiser, Olaf and his Fire Marshall, Ben. We were given a tour of the area and shown the toilet and tea facilities. We were then taken into a hut, to be talked through the process, step by step - It was explained to everyone that there was a risk or burns and injury! If we did not follow instructions and walk properly!
I was a tiny bit nervous, but way more excited than scared - I don’t think I stopped smiling all day!
I could feel my guides with me and my Father In law, whom sadly passed two years ago.
We were asked our reasons for walking the fire, if we wanted to share. We then took part in a meditation, and were asked to choose a candle either black, white or both - To fill with our intention, and also to light the fire with.
We gathered outside to light our candles and place them in the fire, the fire went up pretty quickly as you can see from the flames in the photos. After lighting the fire it took around 1 and a half to 2 hours for the wood to burn down enough to allow Olaf to shape the coals into our walk way. The caps were ready at 8:30pm - It was all raked out in front of us ready to go.
I went first! I was sooo excitedI couldn’t wait! I took a deep breath, grounded myself, and took my first step, walking straight onto the red hot coals. It was amazing I did NOT get burned! I was soo excited I walked it 5 times, 3 on my own and twice with my hubby! It was a fantastic experience!
If you do get the chance, Go for it! It is truly an experience. After everyone had walked we met up inside the hut for a closing meditation and to give thanks for our experiences. Before leaving to travel home.
I will be doing it again in December, as my Dad has requested to walk the coals with me Watch this space!
It was a truly fantastic experience, I walked the fire 5 times - to walk off 5 years of tough situations in my life.
A fresh start! I walk in my power - some people walk in the fire and some are born from fire!
